But light cannot exist in a vacuum; it is defined by what it illuminates and what it casts into shadow. In my writing, I do not chase a blinding, artificial optimism. Instead, Lux represents the courage to look at the truth—even when that truth is painful, uncomfortable, or hidden away in the dark.

When we explore themes of maternal fracture, grief, and estrangement, we are walking through deep shadows. Lux is the flashlight. It is the commitment to tracing the outline of our ghosts so we can finally understand them.

QIRA: from Qilin + aura; it evokes myth, balance, breathing, and unseen power.

This half of the cypher is woven from the Qilin—the mythical creature of balance, prosperity, and protective power—and the concept of an aura. It evokes an unseen energy, the quiet rhythm of breathing, and the ancient myths we carry in our DNA.
